Transfer Talk: Man United, Arsenal circling Palace's Guehi

TOP STORY: Guehi targeted by United, Arsenal

Manchester United and Arsenal will battle it out for the signature of Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi, according to the Times.

The 23-year-old England international is reported to have been scouted by both clubs this season, with the Red Devils prioritising signing a defender when the transfer window opens.

It is believed that an offer worth at least £55 million would be required to land Guehi, which would be a record fee received by the Eagles after Aaron Wan-Bissaka‘s £50m move to Old Trafford in 2019. Any accepted offer could also be matched by Chelsea, which included a clause in their deal when Guehi moved from Stamford Bridge to Palace in 2021.

Guehi has made 22 Premier League appearances this season, but he made the decision to undergo knee surgery in February amid hopes of being in contention to earn a place in the England squad for the European Championship this summer.
