The Roosters were denied a try to Egan Butcher in controversial circumstances after Bailey Simonsson was ruled to have been taken out by Luke Keary in the lead-up.
The incident in the 10th minute saw Daniel Tupou make a break down the left before finding Joseph Suaalii, who put Butcher over for the first try of the night.
However, senior review official Gerard Sutton called for a review after Luke Keary appeared to make contact with Simonsson in the lead-up to Tupou’s break.

“Did Luke Keary make contact with Bailey Simonsson?” Greg Alexander questioned in commentary.
“Simonsson reacted as if he was taken down illegally here,” Warren Smith said.
“Keary passes to Tupou and then grabs Simonsson.”
Sutton ruled that Simonsson was denied the opportunity to make a tackle by Keary.
“Keary grabs hold of Bailey Simonsson denying him the opportunity to defend Daniel Tupou,” Sutton said.
However, Alexander believes Simonsson was never going to make the tackle, which compounded Keary’s error.
“He didn’t have to either because Simonsson wasn’t getting there,” Alexander said.
