Tonga have history and momentum on their side having gone within a whisker of the World Cup final in 2017 and cruising through this year’s group matches undefeated.
But Samoa boast the experienced and accomplished halves duo of Anthony Milford and two-time premiership-winner Jarome Luai.
All eyes, though, will be on the star-studded forward packs in both teams.
Addin-Fonua-Blake, Moeaki Fotuaika, Felise Kaufusi, Keaon Koloamatangi and Jason Taumalolo Tonga’s starting pack. Then there’s Siliva Havili, Tevita Tatola and Ben Murdoch-Masila on the bench.
Meanwhile, Junior Paulo will captain Samoa with Royce Hunt, Ligi Sao, Jaydn Su’A and Oregon Kaufusi joining him up front. Josh Papalii, Martin Taupau and Nu Brown will provide the impact off the bench.
The winner will take on England in a semi-final — no doubt something that will fuel Samoa after being humiliated by them in week one.
