‘Victor gets treated differently’: Robinson and Tedesco defend Radley after ANOTHER sin bin

Roosters coach Trent Robinson and captain James Tedesco have said they both think enforcer Victor Radley gets “treated harshly” by the referees.

Radley was sin binned for the eighth time of his career in the Roosters’ tight ANZAC Day win over the Dragons at Allianz Stadium.

Radley’s eight sin bins now moves him level with Rabbitohs star Latrell Mitchell for the most yellow cards in NRL history.

Amazingly, Radley has been binned in seven of his last 39 games, calling his latest one “a s**t decision.

Robinson says that in a 50/50 call, Radley “has been on the wrong side of it.

“I had a look at the vision over and over again and I didn’t see any shoulder on head contact on any of the televisions I saw but I know there’s other angles,” Robinson said.

“Unless they show more angles, I can only go off what I’ve seen.

“We feel like if it’s a 50/50 in a physical contact, Rads has been on the wrong side of it.”

Tedesco, who was heard immediately after Radley’s sin binning telling referee Adam Gee “if that was anyone else, it’d be no penalty”, stood by his on-field comments.

“Rads was adamant it was head on head, and that’s what I saw as well,” Tedesco said.

“I don’t think there was any contact around the head (from his shoulder).

“Victor gets harshly treated … I feel if it was anyone else but Victor it’d be OK.”

When asked if the club would go to the NRL for an explanation, Robinson said it was just “an opinion”.

“That’s my opinion and that’s Ted’s (Tedesco) opinion, it doesn’t mean it’s the truth,” Robinson said.

“There’s a good chance that it is, but at the moment it’s just an opinion.”
