Foxtel Group CEO Patrick Delany has hailed No Limit Boxing’s role in the “renaissance” of the sport in Australia as Foxtel announced a new, multi-year partnership with the premier boxing promotion.

The deal means No Limit will be the exclusive supplier of Australian boxing events on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.

No Limit Boxing boasts a world-class stable of fighters including the likes of Tim and Nikita Tszyu, Liam Wilson, Sam Goodman as well as former Olympic stars Paulo Aokuso and Harry Garside.

Delany believes the partnership with No Limit is what’s needed to continue taking the sport “to the next level” amid the steady stream of emerging Aussie boxing talent.

“There is no doubt we are in a renaissance of boxing right now, with great fighters, big names and major bouts,” Delany said.

“The opportunity to partner with No Limit Boxing exclusively will take it to the next level after a record-breaking year for Main Event.

“We have backed boxing in Australia for more than 25 years, growing the sport through our pay-per-view platform which has showcased all the unmissable fights.

“That’s why we’re huge supporters of No Limit — who are first-class promoters dedicated to nurturing future champions to compete on the world stage.”

Delany also hailed the fact No Limit is a First Nations business as Foxtel continues to look for opportunities to “use our reach to amplify a diversity of voices and talent across our platforms.”

No Limit CEO George Rose was ecstatic with the deal and firmly believes the partnership makes the promotion an “unstoppable force and brings the best of the best together.”

“No Limit is proud to have the best roster of fighters in the country and the events we put on are world class,” Rose said.

“It’s clear Foxtel Group are the undisputed pay-per-view leaders and with their enormous and fast-growing audience they are bringing more fans into the sport than ever before. This partnership makes us an unstoppable force and brings the best of the best together.

“Boxing is back in the spotlight where it belongs and 2023 promises to be bigger than ever. Not only do we have Tim Tszyu fighting for the undisputed world title but Liam Wilson is expected to secure a world title fight in February.

Rose also revealed No Limit has an “exciting triple-header” in the works for March, with Nikita Tszyu, Garside and Aokuso set to appear on the card.
