Former Warriors captain Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is set to return to the club in 2024 once he attempts to crack the All Blacks World Cup squad later this year.
Sources close to Tuivasa-Sheck, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the confidential nature of talks, confirmed the NRL premiership winner has been in negotiations with the Warriors around a three-year deal.
Tuivasa-Sheck made a shock switch to rugby two years ago, with his Super Rugby contract at the Auckland Blues expiring at the end of this season.
The 29-year-old left rugby league at the peak of his powers but has struggled to nail down a regular All Blacks gig, playing three Tests, and starting in one at inside centre against Japan last year.
He remains in the frame for New Zealand’s World Cup squad but has been out injured since mid-March due to a hand injury.
More to come.
