TOP STORY: Trio of clubs looking at Phillips
Bayern Munich, Juventus and Liverpool are all among the clubs who will look at Kalvin Phillips if the midfielder leaves Manchester City, according to Sky Sports Deutschland.
The 27-year-old’s struggles for game time at the Etihad have continued, making only five appearances totalling just 167 minutes so far this season.
That is making the likelihood of a winter move more realistic, with a loan with the option to buy a distinct possibility.
Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg says that there has not yet been any concrete contact between Bayern and the England international, while Juventus are also looking at Phillips in the aftermath of Paul Pogba’s doping ban, especially as Bianconeri boss Massimiliano Allegri likes the midfielder’s “physical, quick switching game.”
In addition, Liverpool could aim to bring in the former Leeds United man as they continue to shape their midfield, with the feeling being that he could provide a more defensive reinforcement alongside summer signing Alexis Mac Allister.
