By John Schell

Selections based on a good track.

Race 1 – 2:05PM KINGS HOTEL MAIDEN PLATE (1100 METRES)

6. Anaisa is a three-year-old filly making her debut here for a strong stable and she’s had two trials leading into it for a seventh at Hawkesbury and a sixth at Warwick Farm. She’s drawn well here and hasn’t struck an overly hard race.
Dangers: 4. Queen Calanthe has been placed in two of five starts, including a last start second at Nowra when second-up from a spell. She’s shown enough ability to be rated a chance here. 2. White Christmas resumes here for a new stable and wasn’t disgraced in his first two starts. He looks primed to run well after a recent trial. 3. Bloomin’ Gold ran second at this track in April and was then spelled. She’s had a trial in preparation for this and could fill a place.
How to play it: Anaisa to win.

Race 2 – 2:40PM BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH MAIDEN PLATE (1400 METRES)

1. Jump In The Line has had two runs back from a spell and has finished midfield in each of them. He has a
Hawkesbury placing to his name and looks well-placed here on the back of his two runs back from a spell in which he has been just behind the placings in each of them.
Dangers: 6. Dubai Dame was placed at Goulburn two starts ago when second-up from a spell and since then ran fourth at Kembla Grange. She has the ability to play a part. 4. Zoomorphic has been just behind the placings in each of his last three starts and only needs to run up to those efforts to be given a chance against these. 7. Scarlett Aplenty was placed at Canberra when last produced and could sneak into the placings again in this.
How to play it: Jump In The Line to win.

Race 3 – 3:15PM JOIN US ON SAT 16TH NOVEMBER BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1100 METRES)

1. Snitzaroo is a winner of two from 10 starts and has had three runs back from a spell and ran well
enough when fifth at Taree last time out. He has the talent to give this a shake.

Dangers: 7. Perfumist debuted at Newcastle in May and failed to beat a runner home but was spelled after that. She’s performed well in two trials leading into this resuming run and is set to improve sharply. 3. Black Alexandra has been racing well without winning and has the talent to figure prominently. 6. Russian Zarina was down on form at the end of her last campaign but showed enough ability early in her career to be rated a chance here.
How to play it: Snitzaroo to win.

2. Joshua has been racing well with a couple of recent seconds at Wagga and Dubbo. He fought to the line strongly last time out and only needs to run up to that to be rated a leading contender here.

Dangers: 3. The Right Rein won at Queanbeyan three starts ago and since then was midfield at Nowra before a close-up third at Cootaumundra at his latest outing. 5. Ain’t She Swell won at Tamworth three starts ago and since then finished second at Dubbo before a last-start fifth at the same track. 9. Crusheen Lass ran an improved race when fourth at Goulburn last week and can be placed here with a repeat of that effort.
How to play it: Joshua to win.

Race 5 – 4:25PM RICH & RUMBLE GROUP COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

10. Mosca Luna is yet to win from 17 starts and only has two third placings to her name but she has shown glimpses of ability. She wasn’t beaten far when fifth at Kembla Grange five starts ago and ran third at Goulburn three runs ago. She resumes here having tackled a couple of provincial runs before the break and should find this more to her liking.
Dangers: 3. Kuroshinzo resumes from a spell here for a new stable and his form was solid enough in Victoria before running second in a recent Dubbo trial. He is poised to perform well. 8. Giovanna Star ran last on debut at Dubbo but resumes here and has had a recent Hawkesbury trial. 12. Trust A Kitty is a last-start Dubbo placegetter that could figure in the minor money again.
How to play it: Mosca Luna each way.

Race 6 – 5:05PM BATHURST RSL CLUB CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

3. Light Infantry is a well-bred son of Snitzel that ran fourth on debut at Narromine when racing on the speed and battling on well. He followed that up with a strong victory at Dubbo when hitting the line well at double figure odds. He looks to be on the up and can figure again here.
Dangers: 5. Trapeze Legend ran second on debut at Scone then backed that up with a win at the same track at just his second start. He looks talented and can go on with the job here. 1. Contrived is a Wyong maiden winner that was close-up at Kembla Grange when unplaced last time out and can give a good sight in this company. 6. Firestorm Boy is a last-start Dubbo maiden winner that can be placed here if he can run up to that effort.
How to play it: Light Infantry to win.

Race 7 – 5:40PM XMAS AT BTR 23RD DECEMBER COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 HANDICAP (1300 METRES)

9.Ishamashi has a win and three placings to her name from just the six starts and she comes into this on the back of a last-start fourth at Narromine when last produced. She was a winner on debut at this track earlier in the year before being placed twice at Dubbo and then at Forbes.
Dangers: 12. Prince Papa ran well at Canberra two starts ago when finishing fourth, then he led them up at Goulburn last time out before weakening into sixth. He’s drawn the rails here and can improve. 8. Geostorm was big odds at Cootamundra at his latest start and he led and fought on too well to score a win. He can figure with a repeat of that. 3. Sooboogeliscious won at Dubbo three starts ago and has been a beaten favourite at Queanbeyan and Nowra since then.
How to play it: Ishamashi to win.

Best Bets: Race 1 (6) Anaisa. Race 7 (9) Ishamashi
Best Value: Race 5 (10) Mosca Luna
