Tasmania has blasted the highest team total in Australian one-day domestic history, scoring 9-435 against South Australia in Sunday’s Marsh Cup clash at Karen Rolton Oval.
A maiden List A century for captain Jordan Silk and a rapid 90 (52) from opener Caleb Jewell steered the Tigers towards the record-shattering total in Adelaide, toppling the previous record of 7-420 set by the Redbacks in October 2016.

After South Australian captain Jake Lehmann won the toss and elected to bowl first, Jewell and Jake Weatherald combined for a 124-run opening partnership before seamer Henry Thornton removed both left-handers in quick succession.
Silk continued the onslaught in the middle overs, reaching triple figures in just 78 balls before falling victim to quick Nathan McAndrew for 116 (85).
Mac Wright (51 from 31 balls) and Beau Webster (42 from 27 balls) provided some late fireworks to push Tasmania, who were without star wicketkeeper Matthew Wade, towards the record total.
Redbacks seamer Wes Agar snared a trio of late wickets, finishing with 3-96 from his ten overs, the second most expensive bowling figures for a South Australian in one-day domestic history, while fellow quick Brendan Doggett claimed 3-86.
South Australia will chase an unlikely target of 436 for victory.
