Medvedev has won against Kecmanovic in stellar straight sets at the Adelaide International in a match he closed 6-0, 6-3. It’s a strong showing from last year’s Australian Open runner-up after his opponent Lorenzo Sonego retired in the second set during yesterday’s match.

Vekic just dispatched Greece’s Papamichail is just over an hour in Perth, clinching the match for Croatia 6-2, 6-0.

Swiatek wins against Trevisan, equalising the Brisbane city final between Poland and Italy 1-1.

Fritz has fired back against a strong Cameron Norrie in their boisterous match, clinching the second set. Great Britain and the US head for a third-set decider in Sydney.

Djokovic faces ban from United States until April

Novak Djokovic might’ve had a smooth re-entry to Australia after last year’s deportation saga, but his woes will continue later this year after the US extended its travel ban for unvaccinated visitors until April 10, writes Scott Spits.

He’ll miss the chance to play five ATP tournaments in the US. The US Open takes place in August.

“Already it’s behind me, I’ve moved on,” Djokovic said of his deportation a few days ago. “I’m looking forward to coming because I always play very well and probably my best tennis throughout my career on Australian soil.”

Swiatek is moving swiftly towards equalising the score between Poland and Italy. She’s taken the first set in just over half an hour.

Swiatek two breaks ahead in Poland v Italy’s second finals clash

Swiatek has struck another blow against Trevisan in the first set, breaking the Italian’s serve and taking the score to 5-1 after a successful follow-up service game.

Taylor Fritz from Team United States and Great Britain’s Cameron Norrie, who downed Nadal in straight sets last week, are now playing in Sydney. Norrie is up 2-1.

In Adelaide, world No.7 Medvedev is warming up with opponent Kecmanovic.
