A pair of lightly raced sprinters are set to make bold statements at Monday’s Goulburn meeting ahead of potential standalone Saturday targets over the next few weeks.
Exciting filly She’s All It returns to the track off a near five-month spell for only her third career start.
The talented daughter of global sprint star Starspangledbanner is based in the Hawkesbury stable of Brad Widdup who will be eying off a deeper sprint race at the standalone Gosford meeting next Saturday week, or even across the two-day Scone carnival in mid-May.
She’s All It hasn’t started since charging home to beat all bar the winner at Hawkesbury early last December.
Since then she’s pleased her connections in trackwork, and signalled an exciting prep was on the horizon with a strong trial at home 13 days ago.
She tackles a Maiden Hcp over 1000m at Goulburn on a surface likely to improve to Good 4, and head-first into a likely showdown with progressive Warwick Farm four-year-old Zambezi River.
And She’s All It could be one half of a popular double strike for the Widdup stable, with progressive three-year-old Noir Vitesse a serious chance in a Maiden Hcp over 1500m.
In the final race, the local Scott Collings yard brings back ultra-talented filly Aunty Ginny in a very winnable Class 1 Hcp over 1000m.
A speedy daughter of dual Group 1 winner Smart Missile, Aunty Ginny hasn’t been seen since a dominant heavy track win at Canberra, also early last December.
Given plenty of time too, Aunty Ginny hasn’t officially trialled which is typical of the Collings stable, but is still set to jump a short-priced favourite at home.
Connections too will be eying off a springboard into a more lucrative race at either Gosford or the Scone carnival before heading into a winter campaign.
