Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) are continuing to express interest in a deal for Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior, sources have told ESPN.
Officials from PIF, who control the four largest clubs in the Saudi Pro League, held informal talks with the forward’s representatives in December, although a formal proposal was not made.
In an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca published on Sunday, Saudi Pro League chief executive Omar Mugharbel said he was confident the transfer would happen one day.
“Vinicius Jr.? We don’t have dreams. It’s a matter of time and negotiation,” Mugharbel said.
