Second Test LIVE: Australia host West Indies at the Gabba

The West Indies have another debutant

Gudakesh Motie is replaced by Kevin Sinclair in the West Indies XI for this second Test. He is the 338th player to feature in a Test for the Windies.

Sinclair is a handy all-rounder who averages 31.48 with the bat and 24.33 with the ball from 21 first-class matches.

Hello and welcome

Afternoon cricket diehards.

Welcome to our live coverage of the second Test between Australia and the West Indies in Brisbane.

It’s Tom Decent here in the Coogee bureau, fresh off last night’s Big Bash final in Sydney.

Pat Cummins’ men are coming off a 10-wicket victory in Adelaide and have the chance to make it a clean sweep across the summer after whitewashing Pakistan.

The Windies showed some promise in Adelaide but will find it difficult to pinch a Test off an Australian team loaded with starts throughout the XI.

Play starts at 2pm local time (3pm AEDT) with a brand new pink ball at the Gabba.

Buckle up.
