North Melbourne’s Tarryn Thomas is reportedly under police investigation amid allegations of “intimidatory” behaviour towards an ex-girlfriend.
The Herald Sun reports the 22-year-old Thomas “found himself under scrutiny” due to his alleged behaviour on social media.
It is alleged in “several instances” Thomas used “intimidatory behaviour” including comments regarding a former partner’s personal photos and videos.

North Melbourne released a statement to the outlet, confirming it is “aware of a current police investigation involving a player”.
“The player is co-operating with police and the club has reported the matter to the AFL’s Integrity Unit,” the club said.
Thomas is not due back at the club until pre-season begins on December 5 and remains on leave.
There’s also reports Thomas had his luxury sedan confiscated by police earlier this year when it is alleged he was caught driving without a valid licence.
The Herald Sun claims Thomas was stopped at a booze bus in West Melbourne back in July.
It was there police determined a 22-year-old man was driving on a suspended licence.
The man was ordered to pay almost $1000 in fines and had his Mercedes-Benz CLA200 confiscated for 30 days under Victorian law.
Thomas endured a tough 2022 season where his whopping $700,000 salary came under fire as North Melbourne remained anchored at the bottom of the ladder.
He managed just 10 games, as a result of injury, form and personal leave following the death of his nan.
Thomas came under fire for his clapback to a fan on social media in June, when criticised for his disposal count.
The Roos young gun replied: “Still get paid 10x more than you ever will” in a now deleted post on Instagram.
There was speculation Thomas could seek a trade away from Arden Street, but it is believed the appointment of Alastair Clarkson convinced the former top 10 pick to stay.
“There was a distinct possibility he was going to push for a trade. Gold Coast – there was at least a conversation had between the Suns and the management company that look after that particular player in Tarryn Thomas,” SEN’s Sam Edmund had reported.
“But Clarkson’s appointment is the major reason – if not the total reason – that he is now staying put. It was certainly a possibility.”
Thomas is contracted at the Roos until the end of 2024.
