Morgan Rogers has signed a new Aston Villa contract having made his England debut in the recent international break.
The 22-year-old’s new deal keeps him at the Birmingham-based club until 2030. The former Manchester City academy player has made an excellent start to the season, scoring three goals and contributing three assists to Villa’s promising start to the season that sees them ninth in the Premier League and eighth in the UEFA Champions League league phase standings.
Villa signed Rogers from Middlesbrough at the end of the end of last season’s January transfer window after he joined the Teesside club in July 2023.
He made his senior England bow as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Greece last Thursday and came off the bench again in Lee Carsley’s final game as the nation’s interim head coach as they thrashed Republic of Ireland 5-0 to earn promotion to League A in the UEFA Nations League.
