By John Schell

(Selections based on a heavy track)

Race 1

7. Adventure Seeker ran a solid second on debut at Moruya before being down the track in two subsequent runs at Wagga and this track before having a spell. She looked good winning a recent trial at this track in preparation for her return to racing and should take plenty of beating against this field. 3. Brannum is on debut and is with a new stable following a quiet trial in May of last year. He can show up here without surprising. 5. Innis is also having her first start and comes into this after trialling behind stablemate Adventure Seeker. 1. Beograd Boy has a solid place record and has the advantage of the inside barrier.
How to play it: Adventure Seeker WIN.

Race 2

4. Anne is a three-year-old filly having her first start here and she has had two trials at Rosehill and finished fourth in each of them. The stable has been in fine form of late and she looks to have the talent to be able to give this a shake. 2. Sweet Patriot finished second as favourite at Nowra two starts ago and then was favourite at Port Macquarie when fourth at her latest start. She should figure prominently again. 3. Sculptor resumed with a fifth at Kembla Grange and has place claims on that effort. 10. Castaway Coral resumed from a spell with a handy enough fourth at Kembla Grange and she can sneak into the placings with the benefit of that under her belt.
How to play it: Anne WIN.

Race 3

6. Tjaka was a winner on debut at Canberra in October then ran second at Albury before running 10th in a Highway before being spelled. She’s drawn well here in what looks to be a winnable race for her to resume in. 1. Love The Cube won well at Hawkesbury at his second start and his two runs either side of that were sound as well. 2. Aegipan won well at this track two weeks ago and should be in the thick of things again. 3. Ditterich has been racing well this campaign and warrants plenty of thought.
How to play it: Tjaka WIN.

Race 4

6. Bode Akuna won at big odds here four starts ago then was thereabouts in a couple of runs before scoring again here in good style two weeks ago. He can take plenty of beating again. 4. Plaza was a Moruya winner two starts ago and warrants thought on that. 8. Soho Sushi won well at Queanbeyan when last produced and is a leading contender again. 3. Miss Emma resumes for a new stable and had good form before the spell.
How to play it: Bode Akuna WIN.

Race 5

2. Bobotov won at Wodonga before a last start fourth at Albury when beaten less than a length. He’s drawn gate one here and should take up a prominent position from the outset. 3. Flashy Icon is lightly raced but shows talent and can be thereabouts. 5. Extravagant Choice ran well at Parkes last time out and has place claims again. 4. Big Time Charlie was a Queanbeyan winner three starts ago and has been placed in each run since then.
How to play it: Bobotov WIN.

Race 6

4. Airliner hasn’t been beaten far in each of his latest two starts when finishing fourth in each of them. He’d contested Highway races either side of a spell before that and this race looks like it will suit. 3. Super Sunny Seeya wasn’t beaten far when second at Wagga at his latest start and a repeat of that would have him in the finish again. 8. Spirits Burn Deep has been safely held in her latest two Highway runs but she was placed in one at Rosehill last August. 7. Wonder Brahma was placed at Parkes at his last start and can run into the minor money again.
How to play it: Airliner WIN.

Race 7

2. Hurstville Zagreb is a Divine Prophet three-year-old gelding having his first start and he comes into this on the back of five trials in total. He’s finished second in the latest two of them and should be primed to run well on debut. 1. Eyespy The Eagle wasn’t beaten far when fourth at big odds at Newcastle on debut and a repeat of that would have him hard to hold out. 3. Maison Louis is also on debut and has had a good grounding with a number of trials in preparation. 10. Darn Cute was midfield here last time out and has place claims.
How to play it: Hurstville Zagreb WIN.

Race 8

7. Maybe Maureen broke her maiden in good style at Forbes last August and was then spelled. She resumed with a solid second at Moruya and the step up in distance looks like it will suit. 2. Savoldi has shown ability in each of his three starts and should be thereabouts again despite the wide barrier. 6. Anarita broke through to win in good fashion at Tamworth at her latest start and can figure prominently again. 4. Stormfield was midfield at Wyong when last produced and can be placed here without surprising.
How to play it: Maybe Maureen EACH WAY.
