(Selections based on a good track)

Race 1

8. Speck hit the line well to win at Tamworth three starts ago and followed that up with a solid fourth at Scone behind a handy one in Sir Remlap. She since ran well again when second at Muswellbrook, and she only needs to have maintained that form to be hard to hold out here. 3. More Than A Star was placed in two of her four starts last campaign and is set to sprint well fresh. 4. Jamakin Money was safely held when resuming but can improve on that effort against these. 1. Gidgee Guy has been midfield in his latest two runs but is capable on his day and warrants thought.

Race 2

8. Great Southernland hit the line well from back in the field to finish second at Mudgee at huge odds two starts ago. He backed that up with another strong showing at Gilgandra when again doing his best work late. He is better suited by the big track here and gets his chance to score. 1. Written By Choice has finished second in each of his latest two starts at this track and Gilgandra, and he should show up again if he can maintain that form. 3. Kuroshinzo has had plenty of chances and struggles to win but can be placed again in this. 2. Howzat Harry is lightly raced and was placed at Tamworth at his latest start.

Race 3

5. Storm Park was only having his second start when justifying favouritism to score a strong win at Tamworth when last produced. He can go on with the job here. 10. Taipan Legend has been racing well with placings at his latest two starts and can figure prominently again. 12. Miss You So was placed at Muswellbrook at his second start, while 3. Infinite Prince led when placed at Orange last time out and has claims again.

8. Wotastatement was placed at this track two starts ago and then ran well again when not beaten far into fifth at Gilgandra. She has the ability to give this a shake from the good draw. 9. Athena’s Treasure debuted with a fifth at Taree, and she can make an impact here without surprising. 11. Hinune wasn’t beaten far when seventh on debut at Kembla Grange and resumes here after two good trials. 14. Poisen Point ran second here in June then was down the track before being spelled. She can sprint well fresh here.

The Manager is resuming from a spell and is having his first start for a new stable on the back of a solid trial at Muswellbrook. 13. Fortians resumed with a third at Orange and has claims here with a repeat of that. 14. Madecci battled on well enough for a last-start third at Gilgandra and can show up again.

Shadow Dane has been racing well with a couple of fourths on either side of a win at this track. He looks set to run well again here. 2.
