Two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas has committed her future to Barcelona by signing a new two-year deal until 2026, the Catalan club announced on Thursday.
The agreement includes an option for an additional season, too, as Putellas, whose previous terms were due to expire next month, extends her 12-year relationship with Barça.

Putellas, 30, also previously spent a year with Barça’s youth academy in 2005 before returning to form part of the first team in 2012.
Since winning her second Ballon d’Or in 2022, Putellas has missed large parts of the last two seasons through injury.
