Meanwhile, long-time Hawthorn historian and museum curator Peter Haby was awarded the Jack Titus Service Award for outstanding service to football.

The awards will be officially celebrated in early Match ahead of the AFL season commencing.

Hardeman has been one of the pioneers of elite women’s football, including renowned stints as both a player and coach.

McAvaney is one of Australian sport’s most revered broadcasters and called more than 1,000 AFL games, including 20 grand finals.

McGuire, a renowned broadcaster in his own right, was a long-time president of the Collingwood Football Club, overseeing an extraordinary build from 27,099 members in 1998 to more than 85,000 members in 2019, as well as the club’s 2010 premiership.

Haby has been one of Australian Rules’ most renowned collectors, spearheading the curation and development of Hawthorn’s museum and aiding in publication of ‘The Hard Way’, a history of the club.
