Collingwood defender Nathan Murphy has been subbed out of the AFL Grand Final after suffering a concussion.
Murphy’s head collided with the shoulder of Lincoln McCarthy late in the first quarter, with the 23-year-old looking dazed as he was helped to his feet.
He came from the ground and was put through a concussion test.

Murphy missed round six with concussion after being struck by Anthony Caminiti.
He has enjoyed a largely consistent season after injury and concussion marred his earlier years, failing to play a game in 2019 and 2020.
Murphy was playing in his 57th AFL game, having been drafted by the Pies with pick No.37 in the 2017 draft.
He has spoken openly about his doubts over his football future at the start of 2022 before he became a staple of the senior side.
Injury to and the eventual retirement of Jordan Roughead along with a long-term injury to Charlie Dean opened the door for Murphy to return to the senior side and he flourished in the role.
