Points pass by Parramatta

Another illegal strip in front of the posts, but Parramatta decline the penalty kick in favour of a fresh set.

This time it’s Clint Gutherson who strips Dylan Brown of the ball, but the Eels like their chances at scoring the first try in this match.

Referee Gerard Sutton calls six again as the Eels are nearing the end of their set, but the opportunity slips through their fingers – a forward pass on the first tackle hands the ball over…should have taken the two.

Parramatta ahead for first time in 2025

Parramatta get the first points of the match for the first time this season.

It’s Kyle Flanagan who illegally strips the ball from Junior Paulo, and the Eels skipper decides opts for the penalty kick.

Points are precious for Parramatta this season, and Zac Lomax slots the penalty over to give his team a two-point lead.

Early penalties cause pain for Parra

Not a great start for the Eels, who give away penalties in repeat sets.

This time it’s Sean Russell who is offside in the kick-chase, which allows the Dragons to start their set 30 metres up the field.

Parramatta walk away unscathed though, after Valentine Holmes coughs up the ball.

In case you missed it last night, the Rabbitohs came away victorious in their match against bitter rivals the Sydney Roosters last night.

But it’s not the game itself that’s making headlines this morning, it’s a wild brawl that broke out during the game.
