Cameron Green has melted hearts across Australia with a beautiful reaction to teammate Alex Carey scoring his maiden century in the Boxing Day Test.
Carey slapped one through the covers to bring up the milestone runs and once it beat the fielder Green raised both his arms in celebration while running between the wickets.
“Just keep an eye on Cam Green here, everyone needs a Cam Green to play sport with,” Mark Howard said on Fox Cricket.

“I thought that was a fantastic representation of what that young man is all about.
“It’s a real warm embrace. And I’m sure that moment (his maiden century) is not too far away for him either.
“Five wickets in the first innings and he batted beautifully today under duress.”

Shaun Pollock declared Green “very much a team man” and Kerry O’Keeffe there was “nothing fake” about the reaction.
“It’s one reason Cam Green is so popular within that side,” O’Keeffe said.
“He celebrated as hard as Carey did when it was his partner who got the hundred, that’s a tremendous reaction from the nonstriker.”
Carey said there was nobody else he’d rather have at the crease to celebrate scoring his maiden Test century.
“It was really special and he was the guy I wanted out there at that stage. To see him throw his arms out, it meant a lot to me,” Carey said.
“We’ve formed a really good relationship on the field but also off the field so to have him out there was a really special moment.
“We’ve spoken a lot about it and we love batting together so hopefully a few more partnerships like that.”

Adam Gilchrist also commented on the moment after replays on Fox Cricket showed Green’s reaction.
“Watch Cam Green here, he was pretty happy. Identifying the moments for your teammates and being thrilled to be a part of it,” Gilchrist said.
“Arms aloft and then I reckon once confirmation the ball was dead, he comes down and says well done and then just backs right away from him (let to let him have the moment).”
Carey made 111 and Green was 51 not out when Australia declared at 8-575 on day three at the MCG.
