Once again, the women’s Ashes will comprise of all three formats of the game, with one Test, three ODIs and three T20Is.
Victory in the Test will bank the winner four points, with a win in an ODI or T20I worth two points.
Not one game was lost between the Australian men’s and women’s sides in the Ashes earlier this year, as the men enjoyed a 4-0 demolition in the Test series while the women drew the Test, won three ODIs and one T20I.
The locked-in Ashes schedule for 2023 comes ahead of the English men’s team return to Australia for the upcoming T20I series, with games in Perth (October 9) and Canberra (October 12 and 14) to take place ahead of the T20 World Cup on Aussie soil.

With next year’s Ashes series confirmed, Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley is excited to see the travelling squads attempt to complete one of the most difficult feats in the sport.
“The Ashes series are among the most significant sporting events in world sport and we are looking forward to these highly anticipated contests in England next year.
“There is no bigger challenge than retaining the Ashes away from home. There is huge excitement from our teams as they look to write themselves into Ashes folklore.
“While these series are on the horizon, we’re excited for the cricket immediately ahead this summer as our men’s team host England across two highly anticipated Dettol T20I and ODI Series either side of the T20 World Cup.”
The men’s and women’s Ashes series will run concurrently, but in a 139-year-first, there will be no men’s Test in August, with the finale finishing on the final day of July.
