‘My goodness’: $144m NFL star hauls in epic Super Bowl catch as unthinkable trade blunder exposed

With one stunning catch, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown proved why his team might have pulled off the heist of the century when it traded for him during the NFL Draft.

But for Tennessee Titans fans, it was yet another painful reminder of what the team decided to give away and ultimately cost former general manager Jon Robinson his job.

At the start of the second half, Brown proved his worth to the Eagles when he hauled in a 45-yard dart from QB Jalen Hurts to gift Philadelphia a 14-7 lead in the Super Bowl.

The Titans parted with Brown and got the 18th overall pick and a third-round pick in return, with Tennessee selecting Arkansas WR Treylon Burks from Arkansas with the extra first-rounder.

Brown would go on to sign a four-year deal with Philadelphia worth a reported $AUD144 million.

It was a deal that did not go down well with Titans head coach Mike Vrabel, who hinted but never directly stated his frustration about losing his star receiver as GM Robinson dealt Brown away.

Watching Brown soar with the Eagles was one of several reasons why Robinson ultimately lost his job with the Titans and several NFL fans were quick to remind Tennessee of what they’d lost after Brown’s dazzling play in the Super Bowl
