Martina Navratilova Announces She is Cancer-Free, Resumes Television Career

On December 12th, 2019, tennis legend Martina Navratilova announced that she is cancer-free and is resuming her television career. Navratilova, who is considered one of the greatest female tennis players of all time, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. After undergoing treatment, she was declared cancer-free in 2011.

Navratilova has had a long and successful career in tennis, winning 59 Grand Slam titles, including 18 singles titles. She was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2000 and was named one of the “100 Greatest of All Time” by Tennis magazine in 2005.

Since her diagnosis with cancer, Navratilova has been an outspoken advocate for cancer awareness and early detection. She has spoken at numerous events and fundraisers to raise money for cancer research.
