MANLY FLYER SHUNS KNIGHTS TO INK MONSTER EXTENSION

Sea Eagles winger and fullback Reuben Garrick has reportedly shunned an approach from the Knights to commit to Manly on a monster four-year extension

Michelle Bishop reported on SEN radio that Garrick is set to put pen to paper on a four-year extension that will tie him to the club until the end of the 2027 season.

“He’s certainly not off to Newcastle,” Bishop said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.

“He has agreed to terms with Manly (and) it is a four-year deal.

“He did have a year to go on his current contract but they’re giving him an upgrade for 2023.

“The club is certainly looking forward now.

“These are some signs of stability again on the back of Des Hasler’s ugly exit.

“Exciting for the club as it appears to be heading into the right direction.

“Great to see Reuben Garrick stay.”

Garrick reportedly does not want to play wing, with Manly offering him the centre role as Tom Trbojevic is their preferred fullback.

The 25-year-old has scored 55 tries and 7888 points in 91 games for Manly since his debut in 2019 and was named the 2021 Dally M winger of the year.
