LATRELL TELLS BUNNIES LOCK ME UP FOR LIFE

Rabbitohs star Latrell Mitchell has declared he wants to be at the South Sydney club for the rest of his career.

Fresh off his older brother Shaquai signing a two-year deal with the club, Mitchell, who comes off-contract in 2023, told Channel 9 that he would love to play with his brother for Souths until he retires.

“100 per cent, lock me up for life,” Mitchell told Channel 9.

“Definitely like I said I am keen to talk when I get back.

“It’s pretty hard to put into words (what Souths means to me). I first started off at the Roosters and it meant a lot to me, but to come to somewhere that has been so welcoming and every day if I ever need anything they are there.”

Mitchell revealed Souths’ support through the toughest period of his career when he was fined for breaking Covid protocols with Josh Addo-Carr convinced him this was the right club for him.

“I don’t want to bring it back up, but the Covid thing with what happened with me and Foxx a couple of years back, Souths were a massive support for myself,” Mitchell said.

“That’s when I knew that I was at home.”

Mitchell believes he has grown up and become a better man since joining the Rabbitohs.

“100 per cent, yeah, I have grown up a lot,” Mitchell said.

“I feel like I have matured and I hope people will see that.
