LIVE: Thunder side desperate to avoid repeat of 15-run catastrophe bat first against Strikers

The unbeaten Adelaide Strikers host the Sydney Thunder on Tuesday night, just four days after their historic clash, and the visitors have won the toss and elected to bat.

The Thunder were all out for just 15 runs last Friday night and they bounced back by posting 6-174 against the Melbourne Renegades but still losing on the second last ball.

The Strikers have dispatched the Thunder and Sydney Sixers in their opening two games and will be looking to extending their lead a the top of the BBL ladder.

The Strikers bowling attack has been central to their success, with Henry Thornton taking nine wickets in just two games.

Matthew Short and recruit Chris Lynn have been making the runs for the Strikers, while Jason Sangha is out for the Thunder with a broken collarbone.

The Thunder are still waiting for Englishman Alex Hales to explode with the bat, however Daniel Sams and Fazalhaq Farooqi have been impressive with the ball.
