LIVE NRL: Panthers rest five Origin stars as they look to bounce back against hot-and-cold Knights

Penrith coach Ivan Cleary has elected to leave out his five Origin stars as the Panthers hope to bounce back from a golden point loss last week when they take on the Knights at BlueBet Stadium.

Jarome Luai, Stephen Crichton, Liam Martin, Isaah Yeo and Brian To’o won’t take their place in the side after representing New South Wales in Origin Game II on Wednesday night.

Round 17

Tyrone Peachey, Tom Jenkins, Jaeman Salmon, Matt Eisenhuth and Zac Hosking retain their spots in the starting side after filling the void for the Origin quintet last week.

For the Knights, Tyson Frizell is slated to back-up from Origin duties after being named to start in the second row.

Winger Greg Marzhew returns to the side after missing last week due to a team-mandated suspension as does prop Daniel Saifiti from a sternum injury.

Even though they’ve dropped their last two, the Knights have shown some decent signs of late, with narrow losses to the Roosters and the Broncos.
