LIVE NRL: Manly get key troops back on deck when they host the inconsistent Roosters

The Sea Eagles and the Roosters have both made a raft of changes to their sides as they prepare for a Sunday afternoon battle at 4 Pines Park.

Manly, who went on a busy recruitment and retention drive earlier in the week, will be boosted by the return of forward Jake Trbojevic.

In addition to Trbojevic, his brother Ben is back in the side as well as key backs Brad Parker and Jason Saab.

Back rower Kelma Tuilagi, who missed four games because of a facial fracture, made a successful return to match action in reserve grade last week and will start for the Sea Eagles this afternoon.

The Roosters were meant to welcome back Joseph Suaalii from suspension this week, but he and teammate Billy Smith both suffered concussions after a colliding with each other at training.

Corey Allan comes into the side while Junior Pauga, who played in the loss to Canberra last week, retains his spot in light of the Sualii injury after originally being dropped.

The Chooks also lose Angus Crichton and Egan Butcher with Nathan Brown and Nat Butcher to replace them in the starting line-up.

Now that the season has entered its final third, both sides will need to start winning games and making moves up the ladder.

The Roosters sit 12th on the ladder with 18 points having lost three of their past five while the Sea Eagles are one spot back on 17 points. They too have dropped three of their past five games.
