They’re boosted this week by the return of speedster Xavier Savage, who has spent the last few weeks getting his confidence up in NSW Cup after fracturing his jaw in a pre-season trial.
Seb Kris has retained the No.1 jersey with Savage will being named on the wing in place of Albert Hopoate.
Cavalry also returns for the wounded Dogs with star winger Jacob Kiraz expected to take his place despite some mixed messaging from football manager Phil Gould earlier in the week.
Workhorse prop Max King is also set to return from a sternum injury that kept him out of last week’s win, while Franklin Pele has been named for his first game since fracturing his arm in Round 5.
The Bulldogs showed plenty of grit in their two-point in over the Dragons last week but have a big challenge ahead of them having come off just a five-day turnaround.
