Australia is one victory away from securing a series victory over Pakistan, with the second ODI between the two nations scheduled to get underway at Allan Border Field on Wednesday morning.
The hosts claimed a comfortable eight-wicket on Monday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match bilateral series, with captain Meg Lanning and debutant Phoebe Litchfield each scoring fifties.

“To get off the mark was the first job, but to stick with Meg and then hit the running runs, it’s a nice feeling,” Player of the Match Litchfield told reporters in the post-match press conference.
“I’d never batted with Meg or played with her and she’s just the best batting partner.
“She knows exactly what to say and whenever I felt under pressure, she either scored a four or came down the other end and gave me some words of advice.”
Kim Garth, who previously represented Ireland in 34 ODIs, will make her Australian 50-over debut on Wednesday, becoming the 149th woman to achieve the feat. She replaces Megan Schutt in the starting XI, while Pakistan side is unchanged.
Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat first in Brisbane. The first ball is scheduled for 11.05am AEDT.
