LIVE AFL: Under-fire Power take ‘no distraction’ approach to Swans contest

After a week of controversy surrounding coach Ken Hinkley’s future, Port Adelaide are adamant they will not be “distracted” against Sydney on Saturday night.

The Power (1-2, 85.2%) were forced to defend claims Hinkley’s job is “untenable” after horror back-to-back losses.

The Swans meantime (2-1, 134.5%) are sitting just outside the top four and return home for the clash at the SCG.

Round 4

Hinkley has swung the axe after his side was embarrassed by rivals Adelaide in the five-goal Showdown loss, dropping Darcy Byrne-Jones, Tom Clurey, Lachie Jones and Riley Bonner, while Orazio Fantasia misses through injury.

“We have nothing to worry about other than getting the job done this week,” Hinkley said.

“We have just played round 3; the competition is so alive and we cannot be distracted. The club is incredibly strong. The reality is we are 1-2 and we haven’t quite got it perfect.

“We are going to give a real good account of ourselves for the rest of the season. Let’s see where it takes us.”

This match gets underway at 7.30pm AEST from the SCG.

Watch it live on Fox Footy (channel 504) from 7.15pm AEST.
