Suns staff and players are on leave until January 9, where Andrew will have to meet with club management and the leadership group to explain himself.
It is expected a club sanction will then be imposed.
Andrew managed just four games in his debut season at the Suns but showed enough to sign a two-year contract extension, tying him at the club until the end of 2025.
“The way the boys and staff treated me when I first came in made me feel really welcome,” he said when he signed the new deal.

The Egyptian-born key position talent showed plenty of promise in the VFL in 2022, averaging 14 disposals and five marks in his 18 games.
The Suns opted for Andrew with pick five in 2021, ahead of the likes of Crow Josh Rachele, Tiger Josh Gibcus and Hawk Josh Ward.
At the time, Suns recruiting boss Kall Burns said the club saw “potential” in Andrew’s ability.
“What appealed to us about Mac first and foremost is his competitiveness,” he said.
“On top of this, Mac shows tremendous physical attributes; for someone two metres tall he’s fast, agile, has a great leap and is quite skilful and those players don’t come around very often.
“Like many draftees, Mac still has a lot of development ahead of him and we are excited to see where he can progress to in years to come.”
