LeBron James Returns to Lakers After 13-Game Absence Due to Injury

On April 7th, 2021, basketball superstar LeBron James made his triumphant return to the court after a 13-game absence due to an ankle injury. James had been out since March 20th, when he suffered the injury during a game against the Atlanta Hawks.

The Los Angeles Lakers had been struggling without their star player, going 4-9 in the games he missed. But with James back in the lineup, the Lakers were able to beat the Sacramento Kings 122-114. James finished with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in his return.

James’ return was a welcome sight for Lakers fans, who had been worried about their team’s chances of making the playoffs without him. The Lakers are currently in fourth place in the Western Conference standings, and James’ presence will be key if they want to make a deep run in the playoffs.

James himself was excited to be back on the court. “It felt great to be back out there with my teammates and competing again,” he said after the game. “It was tough watching from the sidelines for so long, but I’m glad I was able to make it back in time for the playoffs.”

James’ return is a huge boost for the Lakers and their fans. With him back in the lineup, they have a much better chance of making a deep run in the playoffs and potentially winning their first championship since 2010. It will be exciting to see how James and the Lakers perform in the coming weeks and months.
