Laurie Daley set to be handed second crack at NSW Origin coaching job

Laurie Daley is set to be unveiled as the NSW Blues Origin coach after being handed a second crack at the state’s top job.

Daley, who previously coached NSW for five Origin series against Queensland’s greatest team between 2013 and 2017, has once again been entrusted to try and continue the work started by Maguire.

The Blues won their first series in the past three years under Maguire with a series-clinching win in the decider at Suncorp Stadium.

Daley has won six games from 15 matches in charge of NSW. He was responsible for ending Queensland’s eight consecutive series wins in 2014.

More to come.
