‘I’ll be there’: Dragons enforcer’s big backflip after exit wish — NRL Transfer Whispers

Dragons enforcer Jaydn Su’A has put any suggestions he wants out of the club to bed, revealing he will be staying at the Red V next season.

Su’A, alongside Blake Lawrie were reportedly disgruntled by the club’s disappointing 2022 campaign after finishing in 10th place.

The 25-year-old joined the Dragons from the Rabbitohs head of the 2022 season but reportedly went as far as requesting a release from the final two years of his contract.

St George Illawarra general manager of football Ben Haran played down the claims of player unrest and denied Su’A ever requested a release.

“We’ve heard a murmur about it but nothing formal has come to us,” Haran said. “Jaydn certainly hasn’t asked for a release. Not at this stage anyway.

“We’re all a bit frustrated about the way we’ve gone this year but Jaydn is a big part of our future.”

Now the hard-hitting backrower has pledged his allegiance to Anthony Griffin’s side, stating “I’ll be there”.
