Hyped QB’s NFL Draft slide FINALLY halts as ‘Josh Allen-type’ star finds new home

Although he was left out in the cold during the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Will Levis didn’t have to wait long to hear his name called after he was selected with the 33rd pick of the draft by the Tennessee Titans.

The Arizona Cardinals initially had the No. 33 pick for the draft, but the Titans made the trade after swapping their second round pick at No. 41, their third round at No. 72 and a third-round pick in 2024.

The former Kentucky star was projected by just about every mock draft to go in the first round and at one stage was the betting favourite to go first thanks to a bizarre Reddit thread.

However, Levis sat in the green room on the first day of the draft and waited for his phone to buzz as his fellow quarterbacks all got their moment in the spotlight.

ESPN college football analyst Mel Kiper compared one major asset of Levis to a superstar NFL quarterback and it’s sure to get Titans fans excited for the future.

“He will stand in there (the pocket),” Kiper said on ESPN’s broadcast.

“He will deliver the ball in the face of pressure.

“Here’s the wheels he has, the ability to have Josh Allen-type running skills.”

However, Kiper admitted Levis can “get reckless” at times but backed the Titans coaching staff and the former Kentucky product to quickly erase that from his game.
