HINT ON JACKSON’S LANDING SPOT

Are we seeing a preview of Fremantle’s new gun ruck duo?

An image has surfaced on social media showing Jackson and Sean Darcy together, believed to be taken over the weekend, in potentially the biggest hint yet of where the former wants to play in 2023.

Jackson has officially requested a trade from Melbourne back to Western Australia, but hasn’t specifically nominated either club, with the Demons reportedly set to play hard ball and try and secure two first-round picks in return for the 20-year old.

He said last week he was unfazed as to whether he’s dealt to Fremantle, who’s the favourites, or West Coast and was simply “stoked to be home” in WA.

Asked if his support for the Dockers growing up would factor into his decision, Jackson said: “Nah, I don’t reckon. I grew up supporting them, but I don’t reckon it does to be honest.”

It comes as Triple M journalist Jay Clark revealed Port Adelaide could play a key role in unlocking a trade for Jackson.

“Melbourne want a pick inside the top ten from Fremantle and maybe another first-round pick,” Clark said on Dead Set Legends.

“Port Adelaide has Pick 8 so I just wonder whether there’s a swap between Fremantle and Port Adelaide to help satisfy Melbourne on that Jackson trade deal.

“It could be a shuffling back of Port Adelaide’s first pick potentially.”

PREMIER CATS COULD BE SET TO GET EVEN STRONGER

Geelong just won the premiership in comprehensive fashion, and now, could get even stronger.

Magpies forward Ollie Henry was in the stands on Saturday watching older brother, Cats defender Jack, who’s openly said he’d like to play with his sibling, in their triumph over the Sydney Swans as well as being at Kardinia Park among the celebrations on Sunday.

It comes as former Geelong Falcon Ollie has been sitting on a contract offer at Collingwood for months, having fallen out of favour of Craig McRae’s side late this season.

Ollie remains tight with his Geelong-based family and has interest from the Cats, while Channel 7 reports he’s set to meet with his manager this week and make a call on his future.

The report states Geelong remain keen to add another ex-Geelong Falcon in Giant Tanner Bruhn.

It means three 20-year olds in Henry and Bruhn along with Max Holmes could be added to the premiers’ 22 next season after fielding the oldest team in VFL/AFL history in Saturday’s grand final.
