Fox Cricket is searching for the game’s most iconic player in history with the launch of Foxtel’s A Ton of Cricket, The Games Greatest Characters.
Brett Lee leads the campaign — created in partnership with News Corp — which began on Monday with the release of a shortlist of 100 past and present players.
The top-100 list starts with Johnny Mullagh, who played 150 years ago, and ends with one of the greatest female players ever, Ellyse Perry.

In between are 98 more of Australia’s great iconic names, such as legends Shane Warne and Don Bradman, and current stars Steve Smith and David Warner.
Fans can also vote for larrikins like Kerry O’Keeffe and Merv Hughes, or formidable leaders like Ian Chappell or Allan Border.
The campaign is certain to generate nostalgia among the Australian cricket public, but also debate over who deserves the No.1 pick.
Voting began on Monday 28 November ahead of the first Test between Australia and the West Indies, which starts on Wednesday in Perth.
It will run until Friday December 16, the day before the first Test against South Africa.
