Former UFC fighter reportedly arrested for alleged murder of girlfriend

Former UFC fighter Phil Baroni has reportedly been arrested in Mexico for allegedly murdering his girlfriend.

The pair were engaged in an argument inside a hotel in San Pancho when the alleged incident occurred, Tribuna De La Bahia reports.

The report claimed: “Baroni beat his girlfriend, a Mexico City native, to death in San Pancho, Nayarit, México. He alleges he threw her inside the shower with force after she told him she had cheated where she hit her head and passed away minutes later.”

UFC legend Michael Bisping was left in disbelief after hearing of the news.

“I’m really hoping this is a sick joke. Phil Baroni arrested for murdering his girlfriend???” Bisping tweeted.

The report also states Baroni was under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

“Uniformed officers arrived at the hotel with the informant, where they found the woman lying naked on a bed covered with a sheet that showed multiple marks of beatings, bruises on her face and parts of her body and no vital signs,” the report noted.

A full investigation into the incident is said to be underway with Baroni arrested for homicide.
