The AFL pre-season is set to kick off in style with a triple-header featuring a former Richmond Tigers captain.
Former Richmond Tigers captain Trent Cotchin will take on a new role in the AFL pre-season triple-header. The triple-header will be held at the MCG on Sunday, February 28th. Cotchin will be the official ambassador for the event, which will feature three matches between some of the league’s top teams.
Cotchin, who captained the Tigers for nine seasons, said he was excited to be part of the event. “I’m looking forward to being part of the AFL pre-season triple-header and helping to promote the game,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity for fans to come out and see some of the best teams in the league in action.”
The triple-header will feature three matches between the Geelong Cats, Melbourne Demons, North Melbourne Kangaroos, and St Kilda Saints. The first match will be between the Cats and Demons, followed by the Kangaroos and Saints. The final match of the day will be between the Demons and Saints.
Cotchin said he was looking forward to seeing some of the league’s best players in action. “It’s going to be great to see some of the best players in the league competing against each other,” he said. “It should be a great day of football.”
