Former Richmond and Collingwood star Andrew Krakouer dies

Former Richmond and Collingwood AFL star Andrew Krakouer has died, aged 42, according to multiple reports.

A member of the famous Krakouer football family, he played 102 games for the Tigers and 35 for the Magpies, kicking three goals in the 2011 grand final defeat to Geelong.

He was the son of Jim and nephew of Phil Krakouer, the legendary brothers who starred for North Melbourne in the 1980s.

He is the cousin of former Gold Coast and Port Adelaide player Nathan Krakouer.

The AFL, Collingwood and Richmond are expected to release statements.
