‘Finally off the mark’: Swan’s hilarious crack at Oliver as Pies legend delivers brutal North bake

Brownlow Medallist Dane Swan has reignited his war-of-words with Melbourne star Clayton Oliver with a cheeky tweet.

Swan has once again taken over Sportsbet Twitter account for the 2022 Brownlow Medal count and started with a bang with a little jab at the Dees midfielder.

The 2011 Brownlow Medallist infamously sparked a tit-for-tat back in 2017 when he cheekily declared Oliver would be a “virgin” if he didn’t play AFL.

Oliver hilariously fired back a short time later, stating Swan would be the “guy that puts stickers on apples” if he didn’t play AFL.

And it seems Swan is keen to keep their running battle going this Brownlow count.

Oliver wasn’t the only player or club in Swan’s sights early.

After stating Lance Franklin has “kicked more goals than North Melbourne has supporters”, he then lined up Nathan Brown.

Not even young Port forward Mitch Georgiades was spared.

Georgiades was named winner of Mark of the Year – despite his grab not even winning Mark of the Week for that particular round.

Swan also couldn’t resist a shot at the AFL over the length of the night.

“If Gill is pausing this much between votes in round six, we deadset will be here till midnight,” he tweeted.

Swan’s Twitter takeover has now become an annual event for the Brownlow Medal count.
