Josh Giddey’s Oklahoma City teammate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has made the cut as superstars Joel Embiid and Ja Morant headlined the NBA All-Star reserves list.
Gilgeous-Alexander missed out on being named as a starter for the Western Conference, with Giddey declaring via Twitter that his Thunder teammate was “robbed.”

However, Gilgeous-Alexander will get to play in his first All-Star game alongside fellow first-timers Jaren Jackson Jr., Lauri Markkanen and Tyrese Hailburton.

Embiid’s Philadelphia 76ers running mate James Harden was one of them.
Harden, a ten-time All-Star, has been in strong form this season and is averaging 21.3 points and 11.0 assists but didn’t make the squeeze.
Nor did Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker, who is averaging a career-high 27.1 points.
The seven All-Star reserves for each conference were decided by the head coaches across the NBA and are made up of two back-court and three frontcourt players as well as two “wild-card” selections, meaning they can play anywhere on the court.
