Dees recruit Lachie Hunter sanctioned by AFL for bizarre in-game bench incident

Melbourne’s Lachie Hunter has been sanctioned for a strange incident while on the bench during Round 9’s win over Hawthorn.

The former Bulldog was out of the game and in the interchange area when a Hawks player ran towards the wing, where the Demons bench sat.

Hunter got up, approached the boundary line outside of the interchange gates and “gestured” towards the player according to the AFL.
