Arsenal have returned to the top of the Premier League table with a dominant 3-1 win over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
The victory means the Gunners now hold a two-point lead over Manchester City who dropped back to second, although Pep Guardiola’s side have the all-important two games in hand.

It was as comfortable a victory for Arsenal as it could have been, with skipper Martin Odegaard opening the scoring in the 18th minute.
The Norwegian star got his second just over 10 minutes later before striker Gabriel Jesus tripled Arsenal’s advantage in the 34th minute.
Chelsea forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was handed the rarest of starts for the clash against his former employers, was hooked by interim boss Frank Lampard at half time.

Aubameyang had an evening to forget at the Emirates, as he had just nine touches in the 45 minutes he was on the park with four of those coming from the kick-off.
Chelsea did manage to prevent a clean sheet for the home side thanks to Noni Madueke’s strike in the 65th minute.
Arsenal left back Oleksandr Zinchenko was caught napping as Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic dinked the ball over the Gunners star’s head and into the path of Madueke, who coolly slotted home past Aaron Ramsdale.
Madueke’s strike was just the second goal Chelsea had scored since Lampard took over as interim boss.
With the result putting Arsenal at the top of the table, the loss kept Chelsea in 12th place and level on points with Bournemouth.
