Brooklyn took their place in fourth, overcoming the Atlanta Hawks who were beat 113-89 in a comfortable win for the ninth seed New York Knicks.
Big man Julius Randle ran the show, scoring 34 points and recording a ridiculous 17 rebounds at Madison Square Garden.
