This would’ve been an extra sweet Anzac Day goal for Essendon’s Kyle Langford.
Langford was awarded a free kick for front-on contact from Magpie Trey Ruscoe in the left forward pocket at the MCG, with the football bouncing into the crowd after the contest.
A brave Magpies fan held the ball out for Langford, who walked over to the boundary line thinking he would be handed the footy.

But the fan instead dropped the ball on the turf away from Langford.
The Essendon utility, though, would have the last laugh, calmly snapping the goal from a tight angle before turning to the fan in the crowd and pointing at him while smiling.
“He turns to the bloke who wouldn’t give him the ball and says ‘have some of that’,’” Channel 7 commentator James Brayshaw said.
Brian Taylor added: “And a nice civilised manner he did it in as well.”
Predictably, Langford’s celebration had the footy world abuzz on social media.
It was Langford’s second consecutive goal after he nailed a set-shot minutes earlier.
Triple Coleman Medallist said Langford handled himself wonderfully — unlike the Magpies fan.
“I thought this was hilarious,” Dunstall told Fox Footy.
“Have a look at the Pies fan. He’s holding it there, says ‘cop that mate’ then ‘here’s a little bit of interest for the equation’. That’s over the top and hopefully he’s a bit embarrassed when he sees that behaviour.
“But I love this. Go back, kick the goal and (Langford) says ‘mate that was for you’. Didn’t give him the bird, didn’t do anything untoward, just said ‘that one’s for you’. I loved it.”
