Wallabies fullback Kurtley Beale has been arrested amid a police investigation into an alleged sexual assault of a 28-year-old woman in Bondi.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the 34-year-old was stopped by police in Kingsford on Friday afternoon and taken to Waverley Police Station.
He is expected to be charged over an alleged sexual assault that took place at a licensed premises in Bondi on December 17.
“Rugby Australia, the NSW Waratahs and Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA) are aware of the situation involving Kurtley Beale,” RA said in a statement.
“As this is a police matter, and we understand there has been no charge made, we will be making no further comment at this time.”
Beale has represented Australia in 95 Tests since making his international debut in 2009, scoring 159 points for the Wallabies.
Earlier this month, he was took part in a four-day Wallabies training camp on the Gold Coast.
